Originally from Toronto, Karen has had a lifelong love affair with Italy. After years of exploring hidden corners and secret gems off the beaten track, she knew she belonged in the heart of Southern Italy’s breathtaking landscapes and rich culture. In 2022, she took the leap—boarding a plane with her beloved dog, Millie—and never looked back.

Now a proud Italian resident and homeowner, Karen has fully embraced the slower, more authentic way of life. By chance, she met Ali Bannon, a fellow expat from the UK, in an Italian class. Alison loves the healthy life style in Italy and enjoys growing her own veg and making her own olive oil.

Their shared passion for luxury travel and discovering Italy’s hidden treasures sparked an idea, and from that moment, South Italy Luxury Tours was born.

Together, Karen and Alison craft exclusive, personalized experience tours that go beyond the typical tourist routes, offering visitors a taste of the real, untouched beauty of Southern Italy in style.
